The Federal Police Air Support Unit provides specialised support to the police services and so makes it possible to develop police functions in a better and more efficient way. This support is also provided to other emergency services

This unit performs missions in different fields. These missions include:

  • Dealing with events such as traffic jams, chain collisions, plane crashes, crowd gatherings, major sport events, etc.Searching for missing people or lost objects.
  • Pursuing and intercepting suspects.
  • Searching for and/or recording offences (illegal waste disposal, unlawful dumping, clandestine laboratories, etc.).
  • Protecting people and goods (transfer of funds, VIP’s, etc.).
  • Specialised interventions (support to the Directorate of Special Units)
  • Sending out video images from fixed or mobile installations.
  • Support to the Nation (fires, disasters, etc.)
